Hello, Thailand, Goodbye?

Bangkok Collage 1

So I finally got to visit Thailand last May! This has been on my top 5 places to visit and it came at a perfect time since my mom was on vacation and my sister just got back from Florida. I only got to bring one pair of shoes and sandals and a pair of pants specifically for our temple tour (no shorts allowed). The rest of my clothes were just perfect for the humid weather (almost hotter than PH!) and all the walking.

We stayed at this cozy old hotel which kind of reminded me of The Shining, if not darker and creepier. Imagine the old European decor with dimly lit hallways, red carpet flooring, and a creaky elevator. Apparently I didn't take much photos there LOL but the staff were too nice and our favorite massage place was right next it so we still enjoyed our stay.

I only brought my camera with me during our temple tour on day 2 so majority in this series of photos is from there. The rest were taken from our phones when we went to Chatuchak and Ratchada Train Market. For our complete Bangkok experience, you can watch my IG highlights here.

Food, shopping, and Buddhism. If you want to be immersed in these, Bangkok is definitely the place to be. However, from the moment we landed, I can't help but notice how similar yet different Thailand is from the Philippines. For one, the people looked the same. The traffic, the streets, the simplicity of life - minus the stress and negative disposition of everyone we've encountered. The people were so nice and chill and that's probably what I liked most about them. Massages were superb 💯. Everyone's in fashion. You can find good food everywhere (we had this favorite restaurant near our hotel called RIFE ❤️) and a lot of other amazing things.

Verdict: This is absolutely NOT a goodbye but an I LOVE YOU, I SHALL BE BACK and I'm looking forward to it! x
