Laiya, Batangas - 02.01.2015

laiya title

Last weekend, we went south! See photos from our side trip to Laiya, Batangas for my grandma's 77th - all through the lens of my iPod. I have barely prepared but you've got to love spontaneous trips, yeah?

Behold, the very definition of an awkward pose. I tried.

Even my feet are so awkward what the shhhh~

So we stayed over at Laiya White Cove Beach Resort and it was a fun experience with the family. We rented a boat and toured the other side of Laiya where some ~fantasy~ TV shows were shot according to the locals, cousins snorkeled around the reefs as we fed pieces of bread to different schools of fish (I saw baby Dory, too!), and we strolled through the prominent sand bars of White Cove. It was actually a very complicated beach because one part was shallow and filled with very fine white sand while the other had nothing but washed up corals and stones and moss along its shore which made it difficult to walk, especially for my 77-year-old gramma. It was beautiful nonetheless. Just don't forget to bring some beach shoes or at least a pair of strapped slippers like mine if you decide to spend time here so you can make the most out of it.

And the AIR ahhh. I've been seriously thinking of packing some fresh beach air to bring to work because I am so getting tired of the uber polluted Manila air. I mean, is it not yet available anywhere? Because if I don't die from stress, that will surely be my next cause of death. XXX

Anyway, I can't wait for our next getaway! We are currently planning our next location to visit so leave your recos on the comments if you have any. :)
