First post for my first trip of the year!
Well, kinda. One of my goals for 2015 is to explore/travel more and make the most out of it. I mean, come on, we're not getting any younger here. I'm also trying to follow my new mantra "live in the now" since I am originally a long-term planner, ergo, our shortly-planned road trip to Bolinao, Pangasinan over the long weekend! Which has been a long. ass. drive. if I may say so, approximately 16 hours back and forth. Insane, I know. But it was all worth the trip. Shout out to my dad for being patient and game for such plans!
I'm still sifting through my gazillion beach photos as we speak so here is a compilation of my trip essentials + a teaser. ;)

From left to right:
1. A good book. Subjective. And this autobiography by Nick Flynn is as fresh as the Patar Beach air in my opinion. I have been meaning to watch the film adaptation (starring Robert de Niro and Paul Dano) forever when I saw this copy on a book sale. Instantly sold! Imagine chilling on the white sand under the late afternoon sun with the waves as your background music and this book at hand. Ahhh, life is good.
2. Camera. Our Fujifilm digicam has been with us since 2010 and had been our must-bring camera ever since. Whenever the DSLR feels too bulky, this water/shock/dust/freeze-proof gem captures the most memorable moments and does wonders.
3. Sunglasses. Fashion and protection. Need I say more? This pair from Sunnies Studios is my favorite.
4. iPod + earphones. Or any music player for that matter. This accompanied us throughout our 16-hour travel time, doubled as our handy camera, served as our map, and connected me to the web for that brief amount of time I detected some free wifi (lol). Limited technology has never been better. I mean, for chrissakes. You got there, you relax, you enjoy the view and take all the beauty in. Share it later, it's not like it's gonna go anywhere.
5. Wallet. Newsflash: You will be spending. Whether how much is totally up to you. Just make sure you bring all your necessary cash and cards with you.
6. Mascara and lip balm. You need to look fresh on your beach photos, right? Putting a little amount of mascara and some lip balm can help. These Maybelline products are my must-haves on my kit.
Yay! What are your trip essentials? I'd like to know! Here is teaser1.jpg feat. dad on top of one of the high rocks as promised. Will try to post the rest asap. <3
