Before anything else, I don't think I will ever feel worthy introducing this amazing artist in this humble blog but let me try. Warning: Possible fan girl sentiments ahead.

So you must be wondering: What's all this? Why am I talking about Reese Lansangan? What am I up to? Today, I have finally decided to kick-start sharing my inspirations in this blog with the hopes of you finding yours. And I couldn't think of anyone better to introduce than Reese herself for she basically is the reason why I've started this site. I admire her passion and her wanderer soul. I admire her enthusiasm on each of her craft and her efforts to keep getting better at them. Most importantly, I admire her sharing her talents and work with her readers so I figured I'll try and do the same - no matter how mediocre my works are, hehe. Because one little birdy told me years ago that I can:

NOTE: This was dated November 2011, roughly a year after learning about her blog and finding my courage to message her on Tumblr. Yes, that used to be my username, please don't judge HAHA - there's a history behind it which would require a whole other blog post so maybe next time :))
I'm just grateful to have such an inspiration to try and pursue my own passion/s and I'd like to do the same for you. Hence the birth of my "Inspirations" category, so expect more to come!
Check out Reese's blog for a full reeseypeasy experience at www.reeseypeasy.com now and drown yourself with creative juices. <3 Also: The Gathering Season exhibit can still be viewed at Heima Brixton today, but I'm not sure until when, so you better go see it asap!
This is Reese Lansangan ( the girl on the left jsyk, and pls excuse my pathetic pimple on the chin ), "a visual artist, graphic designer, musician, fashion student - all rolled into one convenient sushi", as she would describe so herself. To me, however, she is the first and my greatest inspiration in the blogosphere since I stumbled upon Dressed Up Days, her old blog, 4 years ago. I just started design school back then and was still on my "soul searching" phase, so you realize how much impact this girl had on me when I found her online. I was lucky to have met her for the first time at the Design Her Story Bazaar and was even luckier to attend her first solo exhibit which opened last Saturday called The Gathering Season.

I mean, look at that beaut. There's something about her art and style that draws me closer to my inner child and makes me feel like anything is possible. It's comforting and freeing and mind-boggling at the same time, and it's things like these that make me go gaga over art. It not only makes me feel something with this cold heart of mine (lol) but it makes me think hard, too.
BUT if there is one thing that I absolutely love about her, it would be her wide range of skills as an artist - be it in photography, music, fashion, graphic design, and writing (blogging). You name it, she's probably done it.. or she's about to! I don't know her well personally but I know that it takes a great amount of courage, especially in today's society, to express ourselves in ways more than one and in ways a little bit different than everybody else. I also know that it requires crazy amount of passion to learn and master such crafts. And Reese.. well, she does it all beautifully. At least in my own opinion.
